She went on to compete in a number of qualifying runs that day, as well as the medal finals. She won the bronze medal for her country.<br /><br /><br /><br />The amazing part of this story, she broke four ribs and had a punctured lung and still competed in her preliminary race and the final. Petra could not even get onto the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">podium</span> to accept her medal without her coaches help.
